Practice Historical Thinking Skills
These are essential to understand to excel on the multiple choice section of the AP test and the DBQ. Try to understand the overall meaning of a text. What is the author/illustrator/photagrapher trying to convey? Why are they depicting it as such? Who is the intended audience? What is the historical context behind the work? Learn more in the Tips section.
Memorize Important Events and Figures
Learn the names of important figures, battles, dates, laws, and other events to bring extra depth to your FRQ responses. The memorization of every battle or legislation is not necessary but learning the names of the most important events and figures can be beneficial. A list of important terms will be added in a later update.
Test Day Tips
Drink water, get a good night's sleep, healthy but filling breakfast, don't overexert yourself the day before, stay calm on the test and trust yourself.
